About Glencora Pipkin

Glencora Pipkin, previously a high school English and elective teacher at Brookewood School, joined the Avalon administration in 2014 as Director of Marketing. She came to Brookewood in the fall of 2011 after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Dallas in 2007 and a Master’s degree in English from Duquesne University (2011). Glencora oversees the alumni publications, the Avalon Advisory, and Avalon’s website maintenance and design, along with creating content and directing operations for Avalon and Brookewood’s marketing.

A dancer since 10 years old, Mrs. Pipkin loves to take dance classes when she has a free moment. Her other hobbies include graphic design, logo design, web design, and interior design.  Her husband Chris (a professor of Medieval Literature), her son and two daughters love to explore nature, garden, and host impromptu poetry writing nights when possible.
