About the Scholarship

The Avalon School is proud to present its Virtue in Action Scholarship. Avalon is pleased to be able to invest significant financial resources in up to twenty, four-year, half-tuition scholarships for high school students. Our aim is to help form more young men of virtue in the Archdiocese of Washington through a partnership between parents, pastors, and The Avalon School.

*financial aid application will be considered in conjunction with scholarship application.

  1. Recipients must be Catholics in good standing and members of a parish in the Archdiocese of Washington
  2. Open to incoming high school freshmen or transfer students (in grades 9–12)
  3. Complete the VIA application
  4. Recieve a letter of recomendation from their pastor

To remain eligible, recipients must remain in good personal and academic standing.

 STEP 1: Fill out the interest form provided here.
Once you’ve let us know that you’re interested, you’ll receive the link to the VIA application. 

STEP 2: Complete and Submit VIA application. 
Check your email for a submission receipt, which will contain the link to the VIA application. Read through and complete the entire application, making sure to place correct contact information into the form. Once you’ve submitted the form, your pastor will receive an email with the link to the pastor form, which he will then fill out. 

STEP 3: Wait for Decision from Avalon
After you’ve submitted the application, and we receive the pastor recommendation, we will make a decision and will contact you to inform you.
