This past weekend, Avalon’s Play Actors Guild—presented in partnership with Brookewood—brought William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing to the stage with sharp humor, lively performances, and a full ensemble cast.
Directed by Erin Bone Steele (her 7th production with Avalon & Brookewood), the show featured standout roles including Luci E. (Beatrice), Patrick S. (Benedick), Gio G. (Leonato), Suzanna M. (Hero), Luke H. (Claudio), Rohan S. (Don Pedro), Maggie T. (Lady Ana), Susanna P. (Dogberry), and Santiago A. (Verges), supported by a strong cast of attendants and watch members.
A special Avalon milestone: for the first time, all four House Captains performed in the production—Patrick S. (Washington House), Rohan S. (Calvert House), Paul R. (Carroll House) , and Leo C. (Stewart House)—making this year’s show an especially memorable celebration of Avalon leadership onstage.
Behind the scenes, the production was supported by stage managers Sofia F. and Elena A., crew Brady G. and Mari E., set painting by Isabella D., cover artwork by Oliver B., and lighting by Jim R.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support student theatre and the Avalon community!
