2026 ANNUAL SPRING

BLACK TIE KNIGHT GALA

Each spring, The Avalon/Brookewood Gala brings the two schools to life as every student—from the 3rd grade through 12th grade—takes the stage. Lower, Middle, and Upper School students each create and perform a unique dance and song skit, celebrating creativity, confidence, and community. No experience is required—just a willingness to join in the fun! With thoughtfully scheduled practices that respect both academics and family time, the Gala is a joyful tradition that highlights the spirit and unity of Avalon boys.

Does your son have a sense of humor? We hope so!

We know boys like to be clever and funny.
Avalon’s annual spring gala lets boys use that desire for good.  For this annual school event, students and faculty to work together and make fun, hilarious, and creative song, dance and video skits to help benefit The Avalon School and its sister school, Brookewood.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Fun in practice & performance

Each spring, The Avalon School and Brookewood School teachers and students create a produce a whole musical show—which is the main feature of a benefit for the schools. They collaborate to write parodies of familiar songs (think Gilbert & Sullivan), create skits about school life (see below), along with choreographing and singing together. Avalon doesn’t just pick the “best” students for performances—instead, Avalon encourages everyone to be a part of the performance, as a community building activity. Students begin participating in the lower school and continue until graduation.
